In the beginning God created the Universe, the Earth, the water and the skies and all the animals, except He was missing one thing. He needed something or someone to watch over his creations. So He created man and with that created woman too; He called them Adam and Eve. “The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a companion for him who corresponds to him.”(Gen 2:18). Under God they were committed to each other in unity under God with his blessing. As a couple in more specifically the Catholic Church you need together to go through the Pre Cana ritual led by a priest or deacon. It forces the couple to have conversations that are necessary before marriage. Some examples are discussion financials current and future, careers, commitment to each other and the Church, and wiliness to have children. As a husband and wife it is your duty to love and serve each other. To live with one another and to have children are most important to raise them assisting one another in the education of your children.
