Statement of Purpose

Since my childhood, I was very curious to know how stuff works, I used to open up some devices and toys just to know what makes them run and what is behind them. These enhanced my thirst to know and learn more. After completing my high school, I felt that Engineering would give me an opportunity to satisfy my hunger of knowledge and curiosity to learn. This would be the stepping stone for me to explore the fundamentals of science and how they are applied to create technology for practical and real purposes. My strength was only a desire to look beyond the obvious and a passion to reach the underlying logic behind the workings of nature. The many landmarks en route have fired the determination to learn, amass knowledge and search for that never ending question ‘why’. I was awestruck with the applications of Engineering in real life. I believe Mechanical Engineering would direct me to correct way for fulfilling my urge for knowledge and contribute

My undergraduate education at the university was a rich blend of knowledge and experiences, being a conscientious student I have been scoring 10 grade points out of a possible 10 in my Project, Industrial engineering as well as in Production Technology, which is a highest possible “AA” grade and secured second rank in both the final year exams with more than 9 SPI out of 10 in the class of 67 students. During the coursework, I was exposed to a stimulating environment where learning and research go hand-in-hand. I was fascinated by the research work going in the institute under the guidance of high-class faculty of my department. Hence, my immediate degree objective is an M.Eng in Mechanical engineering which will equip me with intellectual depth and breadth along with greater practical knowledge to face the professional and leadership challenges that I will face in my career. A prominent faculty, ambience gorged with excellent academic activity which includes graduate program with brilliant research facilities and course work at the cutting edge of every sub-field are the factors which have motivated me to choose the University of ___________ for my major course studies.
