STATEMENT OF PURPOSE “The way of success is the way of continuous pursuit of knowledge.” ― Napoleon Hill Respected Graduate Admissions Committee, I would like to introduce myself as a prospective student of Arizona State University. Currently I am pursuing my undergraduate studies in Computer Engineering at Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing (IIITD&M) Kancheepuram, an autonomous institute under MHRD Government of India. Academics have always been my stronghold. Starting from my childhood I had been a topper in my class. This academic excellence achieved me a 95.7% in my 12th standard.
Goals and aspirations To pursue higher education in Computer Engineering by doing my Masters in an esteemed university, and thereby make a mark in the field. My aspiration is to acquire the wisdom from the knowledge and thereby give it back to the scientific community in specific and mankind in general in the long run. Academic Background With a sound school background I have successfully completed my 10 years of schooling and secured 85.3% in my X standard. My innate strengths have been my quantitative and analytical abilities, which instilled in me a special interest in mathematics and made me to take up mathematics, physics and chemistry as my majors in my pre-university education wherein I secured an aggregate of 88.9%. I took up Electronics and Electrical as my discipline from CVR College of Engineering, affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, one of the premier institutes in India and was graduated with 65.96%.
People around know me as the tech-guy since. With that, I can say I knew that I will be studying computer engineering after high school. Being ranked in the top 1% among millions of students who want to enroll in a university, I chose to study at Galatasaray University. Throughout my bachelor years up to now, I have always sought for more. I have improved my programming skills by taking elective courses, competing in different competitions and contributing open source projects.
I am a final year student of B.Tech degree program in computer science and engineering branch at Gitam University, Visakhapatnam. Since my childhood I had immense interest and liking towards computers. I have excelled in academics at every step in my education. In my 12 years of schooling I always stood first in class and my interest towards computers made me take a course of computers in my 12th grade where I learnt Visual Basic and Oracle and scored a good percentage. A strong desire to ingrain the fundamentals of computers and flourish in this field made me to join GITAM University where I have qualified in an entrance examination among 20,000 students who have appeared.
After school, I appeared for State Entrance Exam for Engineering, in which I secured a position in top 2% out of two lakh aspirants. I was offered a seat in Bachelor of Technology program in Computer Science major in Institute of Engineering and technology, University of Kanpur, a Government Aided University. Here I experienced outstanding faculty, excellent laboratory facilities and advanced curriculum, which altogether kept me abreast with the latest research in computing and information systems. From the first year of the course itself I started exploiting every opportunity to learn new things and get a more practical knowledge about it.
