In 1997, the first social networking site which is SixDegrees.com, was created and used to have personal spaces and communicate with friends online. Recently, in America, 74 % adults use the social networking sites to chat with friends and strangers, do research, and share some personal thought and photo. There are some social media sites that people always use, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest. Some people think that the social networking sites give people a convenience community and high quality life. However, social networking also have negative influences. However, social networking sites will also make the people who are social isolated to lose more skill of communicate in real world. For example, people will be more likely to communicate with people in the Cyberworld, which are a real or virtual world of information in cyberspace. Cyberspace means that the notional environment in which communication over computer networks occurs. People will lose the ability of communicate in the real world. However, the real communication are more important than the virtual worlds. Therefore, social networking sites make that people are prone to social isolation.
In conclusion, social networking sites have some negative influences, including harming the kid’s brain, increasing the crime rates, and spreading the unreal information. In addition, people will be prone to social isolation if they often use social networking sites. Of course, in the future, the company of social media will found some solution or implement some policy, for example: a way to protect the customer’s private information, and limit the using time of child
