Everyday a child is born and everyday a new student starts school somewhere across the world. There are millions of schools and learning facilities being built all over, but that cannot be said the same for teachers. So many people complain that teachers are not paid enough and they are they have the most under paid out there. Some have said that some teachers complain that yes, they are underpaid, do not like their jobs as well as there are some that are set in their own ways and do not care too much for kids. Then you can only ask, why teach, why waste the time and the energy to go to school, study and then pretend to want to teach kids, when they really don’t. Now when you think Presidents, a few students will think only of those that they learned in grammar school and on the monies in which they spend. He deliberately waited until a day when he knew that the computer lab would be closed and the students would have no other options or means to research these topics. Therefore, they were left to utilize the only resource that was always known to be used before technology which were The Encyclopedias. Per this Civics teacher he stated that “The students began the project with incredulity at having to use books.” With this being said 50% of the class consisting of sophomores asked the teacher if they should look this up by their first name or their last name. Everyone sees the value of technology and the importance of it for everyday life. However, in a case like this depleting a valuable resource in our students, also takes away from common sense. Within the first few weeks of school several of their teachers requested that they come home and complete some assignments they didn’t have time to for in class. I am all for kids doing researching on the computer, I am all for my kids doing homework online. But, I have to draw the line when my kids come home and the teacher is asking them to complete classwork. Classwork in which they were allotted a certain amount of time to complete while in school. So I ask my kids what happen in school, the reason we were unable to get this done. These schools are asking parents to pay general admission fees to accommodate some teachers, but then it makes no sense to have parents pay general admission fees to assist certain teachers, yet they are the same teachers that are using technology to teach while they do whatever interests them. I am not against technology teaching or assisting our kids, I am against paying general admission fees and the teachers are not doing their
