With new advances in Medical Sciences the ability to transplant an organ has become widely available to those in need. Yet sadly, thousands still die each year even though there is a way to save them. These people are forced to wait on a waiting list with close to 80,000 other names on it to find a donor. But there are thousands of people willing to sell their organs; they seem to be a perfect match for each other. If the government gave people the right to buy the organs they vitally need to pro long their lives, thousands of people could end their pain and suffering. The government should be taking steps to save lives, not take them away. Today, upwards to 80,000 people wait patiently on a list to receive an organ. Only 20,000 organs are donated each year, leaving 60,000 people with nothing. Thousands sit in hospital beds with death inevitable. If it were legal to sell organs, then the next day the amount of organs available would sky-rocket, resulting in many lives saved.
