Over the past few years, the question: "Should young people have restricted access to the internet?" has increased concerns among many parents and experts. Today, the internet is used by many people as a communication, research, shopping, entertainment, and even marketing tool. No one controls the internet. Therefore, anyone can share any information with millions of other people over the internet. With so little supervision, the unrestricted internet access negatively impacts the lives of young people. Access to the internet should be limited to young people to decrease the risks of cybercrime, Internet-Use Disorder, and physical inactivity.

Many educational learning tools such as Brightstorm, Khan Academy, Aleks, and Florida Virtual School are available on the internet to help increase students’ learning capacities. The internet is also used as a teaching tool by many teachers to instruct students in the classroom. The internet contributes to many online educational learning opportunities. Not only do online educational learning tools allow students to become more responsible and organized, but they also give students flexible access to any course resources and information wherever they are, even through mobile devices (Dutton 338). These computer systems should have codes that only authorized computer scientists can decrypt. The government should also ask those computer scientists to create other computer systems that will only be registered and sold to parents. Each parent who will purchase the system should be assigned a tracking number and asked to sign a contract in which the terms and conditions of the system should be explained. Parents who will refuse to purchase a governmental computer system should restrict many young people 's internet access by viewing their computers ' history or constantly reminding these young people of the risks of unrestricted internet access. Restrictions on internet access will decrease the risk of young people being victims or perpetrators of harmful acts or effects.
