Pre-made trusses are a convenient product that is worth the price. It out strengths and is easier than traditional rafter and roof framing.
Using pre-made wood trusses is less labor intensive than traditional framing methods. It doesn't require any special skills to install. This is a good factor because it doesn't require any special training or knowledge. It is already pre-built which makes way faster and easier to install. All it takes to install one of these is a crane and an operator. With other traditional forms of framing it requires a lot of math thinking and labor which tires employees faster than pre-made trusses. Labor is something that affects employees health and money (Universal Forest Products).
Pre-made trusses are more timely and effective than other methods of roof framing. When they arrive on the job they are ready to install. This saves many hours of labor making a job faster. Traditional framing takes time to build and frame ,it also takes time to think out how to frame it to the design of the homeowners choice. The longest part of installing pre-made trusses is the actual trip that it takes to your house and nailing it to the actual top plate of the framing which saves time compared to traditional framing which requires you to build the whole roof. It also lets you get started on applying the plywood to finish the roof faster speeding up job production. Speed is a key factor for both the contractor and the homeowner because the homeowner wants their house back as soon as possible and the contractor makes money by the job. Pre-made trusses speed up a roofing job and are way more effective.(Types of Prefab Roof Trusses)

According to Suspension bridges: Concepts and various innovative techniques of structural evaluation, “During the past 200 years, suspension bridges have been at the forefront in all aspects of structural engineering” (“Suspension”). This statement shows that suspension bridges have been used for over 200 years, and that people are still using them today because they are structurally better bridges. This paper shows four arguments on the advantages of suspension bridges, and why you should use one when building a bridge. When deciding on building a suspension bridge, it has many advantages such as; its lightness, ability to span over a long distance, easy construction, cost effective, easy to maintain, less risk

It is essential to understand the revolution of the female silhouette throughout history specifically looking at the corset “an undergarment traditionally made of stiffened material laced tight to the body in order to slim a woman's waist” now and then and how silhouette changed. Understanding the importance of this history and being aware of the evolution in women’s lifestyles, it will be practical to use traditional construction methods that will give us the ability and possibility to apply this knowledge to our future fashion design.
Today in my assignment I will be talking to you about Timber Frame Construction and its Cladding Systems. I will go on to mention its current position, what a Cladding is, I will also give a brief summary of the characteristics of different types of claddings. Also a diagram will be presented will labels of a cladding system fastened onto a timber framed building.
These types of bridges are either V-shaped or in an inclined position. An example of this type of bridge is the Albert Bridge in London, England. An additional type of bridge structure is the truss bridge. A truss bridge contains a pattern of diagonal columns that sit on top of the bridge. There are many types of designs, but the most common designs are the king posts, which consist of two diagonal columns supported by a vertical column, and queen posts, which consist of two diagonal columns supported by two vertical and horizontal columns near the peak. An example of a truss bridge is the Dom Luis I
...en stiffening trusses could have been used instead of solid stiffening girders to allow more air flow and reduced wind resistance(Levy, 1992). Additionally the system should have been damped to ensure that its resonance frequency cannot be duplicated in nature and create a positive feedback loop and to make sure that any oscillations that do occur are quickly slowed.

Whether you are considering building new or simply renovating, there are many verdant options that a company can use to reduce expenses. There is a price difference present between the costs of traditional and eco-friendly building materials. Typically these costs contribute about 2-3% towards the increase on price when choosing to use green building materials (Lawson, 2009). At first you think 2 - 3%, really is not significant at all, however if you consider many of the larger companies easily spends upwards of 5 – 6 million dollars on new constructions. That is quiet a magnitude of money; ranging anywhere from $100,000 – $180,000 in extra investments, depending on the options that are chosen.
Type V buildings are known as wood frame construction. To break Type V constructions to the basics, they are constructed of lightweight materials to save the contractor money. This type of construction is the most dangerous to firefighter due to the lightweight, cost effective materials used. Some of the wood frame buildings are Log cabins, Post and frame, Balloon Frame, platform frame, plank and beam, and truss frame.
But due to a number of factors, timber framing went into decline as the Georgian era moved to the Victorian era. Even though falling out of fashion during Victorian times, but thanks to certain architects make a point of studying how flexible is the materials was used during history and try to reproduce these traditional designs, timber frames have seen a resurgence in 1970s in the Western world. What made people returning to timber construction? Many of the most extraordinary medieval timber frames were still standing due to the durability of hardwood timbers – particularly oak, and this were much appreciated by all who came across them. Today, timber is used as a major structural material in a great variety of building and civil engineering applications. Steel and concrete has been took over by timber as the architectural wonder material of the 21st century, with its sustainability, quality and speed of construction is praise by the architects. Architects are allow to build bigger and higher with the new type of engineered timber because it considerably stronger and more stable than regular wood. This make timber skyscraper is not a real
It is highly recommended to use a qualified architect when it comes to designing structures as the outcomes are always energy efficient, cost efficient and generally easier to maintain (Australian Institute of Architects, 2016).
Sustainable buildings are becoming somewhat of a necessity in the world today. As the demand for green building develops, so does the demand for green building materials. Just as the old techniques and building materials seem to disappear in the assembly of things, they are now making a come back. Green building focuses on the efficiency of major resources like water and energy. As the cost for sustainable materials and products are on the decline, building green seems to be the most cost effective kind of design and construction. Looking specifically at green materials and their impact on the production of structures, it is evident that they are a prime choice for building material. The use of green materials should be promoted because they are better for the environment, more healthful for the consumer, and better for the economy.
Buildings consume a variety of materials in their construction. Green design reduces the dependence on resource intensive products and materials. Today, there are an increasing number of products available made from efficient, earth-friendly, or recycled materials. In a green building, consideration is also given to the construction process itself. Materials that minimize waste or can be recycled, help contribute to an efficient and environmentally sensitive construction process.
