Introduction

According to Webster's II: New Riverside University Dictionary, music is "the art of arranging tones in an orderly sequence so as to produce a unified and continuous composition”. Music is well known is the past and present. It had exists for about 50000 years. African may had been invented the first music and later on it had been evolved by others.

Music is also an art and doesn’t have a fix meaning. It is special and has different meaning to different people. For example, musicians think that music is something very important to them and it is like their life. They will spend most of their time playing music. Some youngsters think music as a part of their hobbies. They enjoy listening to music when they are free.

Every composer will create their own music and it is different than each other. The different types of music are such as country music, rap music, Latin music, classical music and son on. They have their own styles in composing music such as composing music that are richly polyphonic, simple texture, complex polyphonic and so on. You can feel the composer’s expression and emotions through the music that they had composed. There are 7 elements in music which are melody, rhythm, harmony, timbre, form, dynamics and texture.

Lastly, music are also been used as performances. Music that had been composed can be used to perform as an entertainment, for ceremony and sacred purpose and so on. Music doesn’t have a fix form. Because of this, it can be improvised and make it different than one another so that it can use for different purpose. In present, almost everyone will hear music and it had become a part of our life.

As a conclusion, there are positive and negative effects of the musical performance video on the children personalities’ development because children are naïve and innocent. They are easily been influence by the surroundings. Children are more easily to absorb new knowledge and it is up to their parents to guide their perspectives towards the correct path by explaining and conveying the message that they want the children to learn while watching the musical performance video. While watching for the first time, parents must watch with them and explain the things shouldn’t be done. After they watching the video, parents can also briefly explain overview of the video so the children won’t misinterpret and imitate the dangerous actions and unsuitable behavior. Parents tend to more easily behavior, lifestyles and act.
