My Personality Preference is INTJ, which stands for Introversion, Intuitive, Thinking and Judging. Another name for INTJ is The Scientist or The Architect. The Scientist personality type often prefer to work alone or in small groups of people who think the same way they do, due to their Introverted way of working. While I agree that I work well alone, I also enjoy assuming the role of leadership when I do have to work in groups. However, this is not unexpected because The Scientist personality type is known for being excellent leaders despite their introverted tendencies. Each person learns in a unique way, and Personality Type can tell you a lot about how they might be able to learn more efficiently. Each personality characteristic has a different method to study and learn. Now that I know more about my Personality Preference and the individual characteristics that go with each, I will be able to study for my classes in a way I would not have realized before. Not only will knowing about my Personality Preference help me succeed academically, but it will also push me to strive further in a way I would not have considered before. To do this, I should first decide if my motivations are extrinsic or intrinsic, and how they affect my decision-making processes. My intrinsic motivations inspire me to do better in school because I want to, and I believe that pushes me farther than extrinsic motivations. Although, extrinsic motivations, like wanting to have a fulfilling career, also influence me academically. Another strategy I can use would be to put myself in a positive mindset. I can develop a growth mindset by learning new skills from my peers and professors. My emotional intelligence might affect my career decisions based on how well I interact with other people. Emotional Intelligence is also a strong attribute to have on job applications.
