Bored out of my mind on a cold and rainy day, my friends invited me to attend a live basketball game in Oakland, California. I felt ecstatic since I have never gone to a NBA game before. I realized that the place I needed to arrive at was around twenty miles away from my home. I was not willing to take the bus all the way from San Francisco to Oakland with this horrible weather. Caught in the excitement, I took my dad's car keys without his consent and decided to drive to the arena in Oakland with no driver's license. My plan was to drive to the arena in Oakland to watch my first NBA game with some friends. A minivan stopped in front of me and a man came out asking me if I needed assistance. I pleaded him to help me fix my mess. I told him my situation that I had driven my dad's car without a driver's license, ran out of gas in the middle of the highway, realized that my phone had no batteries and smashed it, ran over three miles to get gas and when I came back the car was keyed all around, and out of anger punched the wall with my knuckles repeatedly. Luckily, the man decided to help me only if I contacted my dad and told him what I have done. I was devastated to hear that my dad has to find out before the man will be able to assist me. I had no choice but to agree with his statement. The stranger lent me his phone to call my dad and he quickly rushed to the highway as soon as possible. The stranger told my dad exactly what I have told him and the look on my dad's face was unforgettable. He had a look of relief and joy that I was safe. It felt as if I was given a second chance to do the right thing. I told the truth and my dad rushed over and gave me a hug that I will remember for the rest of my
