My research paper will discuss the profession pediatrician. It will give explain what a pediatrician is as well as discuss the pediatrician’s duties and responsibilities. It will further discuss the education requirements needed to pursue a successful career as a pediatrician. Lastly, my paper will discuss the salary that pediatricians will receive once they began their career. My desire in life is to pursue my lifelong dream of becoming a successful pediatrician. Becoming a pediatrician is something that I have always wanted to be ever since I was able to talk. My passion for becoming pediatrician has gotten stronger over the years because I am concerned about the well-being of children. I hate to see them not feeling good. I also hate to see them suffer. This career is one that I definitely feel a strong passion for that increases more and more every day. It is one that will require extensive training both in and out of the classroom. In order to become a successfully pediatrician, you will have to put in a lot of hard work and long hours that will pay off in the long run. I am definitely willing to put forth all my time, efforts, and patience towards becoming a successful pediatrician. You must first receive an undergraduate degree that takes 4 years to complete as well as pass the MCAT exam, you must apply to and complete medical school that normally takes about 4 years, and finally complete your internship and or residency that normally takes about 3 to 4 years. THe work that is performed is a variety of different things. From minor injuries to major health problems. The job would also involve emotional support for families and patients. You would have to be able to work with all different types of people from babies to parents. A pediatrician would diagnose and treat problems with infants, children, and teenagers. They would work with their patients diet, hygiene and disease prevention. A lot of collaboration is needed with other medical professionals because it is such a large field.
Let’s start with the pros. The pro of being a pediatrician is the bond between you and your patients it’s unbreakable. It’s like you have hundreds of kids roaming around in the world. Another would be a higher beginning salary. Finally job security, because a pediatrician can always go into another medical field, or subspecialty in which they practice in. Now let’s go to the con. The downfall of specializing in pediatrics would be appeasing to the parent’s and avoiding lawsuits or malpractice. That’s added stress, since you know what is right for the patient, but parents feel like they know it all. I want to be a nurse, specifically a nurse practitioner. I have always been fascinated with the medical field and see a bright future in it for me. I have the opportunity of meeting new people every day with a variety of personalities. There is always something new to discover in this field. A nurse practitioner's job is to be able to diagnose and treat illnesses. They also prescribe medicine and run physical exams. I am highly interested in pursuing the career of a nurse practitioner because the healthcare field is always in need for medical professionals, it pays well, and I am helping people at the same time.
Growing up I had always been asked the infamous question, "What do you want to be when you grow up?", and my answer had always been a shrug or a simple "I don 't know yet". If I was asked the same question now, I could confidently and very passionately say, "I want to be a doctor; a humanitarian who brings positive change in someone 's life.". It seems like a very general statement but I truly hope to one day become somebody who can use her expertise and profession to help others.

Many people in this world want to make a difference in life. However, most people do not want to put in all the effort that it takes to do so. The job of a pediatrician is life-changing to many. Unfortunately, it takes drive and effort that many people do not have, to become a pediatrician. A pediatrician’s job is a highly-skilled and interesting job because he or she has the privilege to deal with and help as many children as possible.
I have known from an early age that I’ve wanted to become a doctor. Helping people has always been a passion of mine. When I was younger, I wanted to be a veterinarian. However, after working with young children I have found that I love working with them, and have a connection with children. Currently, I am interested in becoming either a neonatologist or a general pediatrician so I can continue to work with young children.
Since I am intrigued by the children’s personalities, I love spending time with them (and that’s why their child-like ways rub off on me). Thus, I believe that my own childish personality and my love of children will motivate me in the near future to help them out with their medical needs. Also, being a pediatrician and helping out children has its own rewards. Not only will I be doing something I enjoy, but I will be getting paid a generous price as well. A pediatrician’s salary is not the highest compared to surgeons or cardiologists, but it’s enough to have a life that is something more than simply satisfying.
In the future, I wish to obtain an occupation in the medical field. I would like to start out by working for a Biology major and working in a premedical field in college where I can use my interest in medicine and my curiosity for knowledge to gain insight that would be needed to become a helpful doctor in the medical field. As I move along in my career, I would like to work my way through the pathway so that I can expand my skills in healing others, such as diagnostic abilities, effectively giving treatment and so on. I want to learn as much as possible so I can fulfill my ultimate dream of helping others that need answers to their medical problems and so that more people can live happily and healthily in the world. I hope to bring happiness to others and allowing people to live comfortably.

Pediatricians can be identified individuals who specialize in giving medical care to children and adolescents between infancy to adulthood at eighteen years of age. I became inspired to become a pediatrician due to my immense love of children. Perhaps I have an innate intuition for taking care of people being that I have always felt that I excel at taking care of others. The idea of taking care of others truly makes me feel that I serve a purpose, not only to better the life of myself but the life of others. Therefore, I believe that becoming a pediatrician will help me combine the best of both worlds into a career that I adore and cherish.
As a child I had always been interested in medicine and the medical world. My passion of learning about the human body started when I was younger.
