Recommended: Analysis and critical evaluation on pearl harbor

The movie Pearl Harbor is a action packed war film that is also mixed with some romance between the three main characters Rafe, Danny, and Evelyn. The movie starts out with Rafe and Danny playing on a old broke down airplane that they use in their pretend fighter plane dogfights. Rafe’s dad is a crop duster when he lands his plane and gets on his tractor Rafe and Danny jump in the airplane and accidentally start the airplane and almost crash it. Danny’s dad saw the whole incident and started beating Danny, but Rafe hits him so he won 't seriously hurt Danny. The skips ahead to when Rafe and Danny are in their early twenties. They are both in the U.S. Army. Rafe is informed by Doolittle that he was accepted to go to Britain and join the Eagle Squadron. Prior to Rafe leaving he tells Evelyn, the nurse he has been dating, that he will be going to England. While in England Rafe is shot down. Evelyn and Danny back in Hawaii are told that he was lost and most likely killed. Three months later Evelyn and Danny get together have a romantic encounter in the parachute hanger. The morning Evelyn finds out she is pregnant, Rafe shows up and explained that he was rescued by …show more content…

However in other parts the movie got it wrong. Although it is impossible to make the movie completely accurate I believe this movie could have done better. As the veterans stated in their critiques of the movie, hundreds of men and women who were at Pearl Harbor and served in World War II did receive the praise they deserved. On top of that many of the things that were inaccurate in the movie were way off. For instance the scene when they were listening to the airplane radio transmissions from Hawaii. Overall, the movie does a fine job of showing the horrors of the Pearl Harbor. It is a great way to get a close representation of the events at Pearl Harbor and the events of World War II after
