For centuries people have given a diverse collection of theories as to how the ancient pyramids were constructed. The Great Pyramid of Giza is truly an incredible architectural accomplishment. This pyramid in particular is commonly referred to as the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world. Some believe that the Egyptians had developed technology that has simply been lost in time. Others think they had help from extraterrestrial beings. The reality of the construction relied on human labor. The egyptians must have developed an intelligent technique to create such a vast structure. A great amount of resources were used not only in the construction of The Great Pyramid, but also in employing civilians to supply the construction workers. The purpose of The Great Pyramid is also highly controversial. Although the typical perception regarding the use of the pyramids is religious, some also suggest astronomical functions. The ancient Egyptians were extremely intelligent in the subject of math, and its believed that they incorporated mathematical functions into the pyramids. The creation and use of the pyramids show the values of the egyptians regarding their culture, social classes, and economics. The purpose of this paper is to determine how The Great Pyramid was constructed, and figure what the different ancient societies plausibly used pyramids for.
Although every idea of how the pyramids were constructed are simply theories, there are some more logical then others. For instance, the most illogical theory is that aliens helped that ancient egyptians construct the pyramids. This theory is a joke, and can actually be easily dismissed and disproven. The extraordinary pyramid you are currently looking at was created by the Zapotec. The amazing pyramid is located in Monte Albán. The pyramid was created during the 700s BCE. This pyramid is large and has alot of terraces. This pyramid also contains deep stone stairs. It's thought that this pyramid was used for storage, mostly valuable items. Also, people thought that this pyramid was used sometimes for a home of rulers of the land.
The Pyramids of Giza are famous because they needed so many people and so much effort to construct them. There have been many incorrect myths or ideas around who actually built the pyramids, and there are conflicting views. Recent studies say they were built by 10,000 workers, not 100,000, and the workers were not actually slaves of the Pharaoh, but paid and skilled workers, mainly Egyptian’s. It has long believed that this was slave work, but after much investigation, new conclusions have been reached, and it is not viewed as possible to be the work of slaves. They all lived nearby the construction site, in a temporary village made primarily for the workers, where they could stay and access the Pyramids easily. This village was a very organized community, and almost like it a real village, with businesses and houses. It would have been a comfortable residence for all of the workers, but they had a life of constant toil. It is likely that many of the communities across Upper and Lower Egypt would have donated the work...
The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World demonstrate individuals’ incredible creativity and imagination. God, of course, is responsible for these creations as He is the one who blessed mankind with such imagination and creativity. Some of these amazing pieces of history include the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Statue of Zeus at Olympia, and the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus. The complex architectural feats that each wonder displays are truly remarkable. However, six of these wonders have unfortunately been destroyed. The only structure that remains is the Great Pyramid of Giza. When observing this great ancient wonder, it is interesting to consider its general facts, theories of construction, and strategies of preservation.

A pyramid is an Egyptian structure and are as old as 40,000 years old. A pyramids base can either be triangular or square this affects how many sides the pyramid has. These structures were usually made out of huge limestone blocks. The Egyptian pyramids were built using ramps which spiraled around the pyramid. The Pyramids Of Giza were chosen as they are three extraordinary structures that give a rich insight into the context, culture, function, technology, power and experiential aspects of the time period and the buildings themselves. The three pyramids showcase the Egyptian’s advanced construction and design methods, their religious beliefs and practices, their rich and diverse culture, the power of the king, as well as the context that surrounded these magnificent structures.
Aliens built the Egyptian pyramids. Recent research supports the theory that the Pyramids were built long before humans inhabited the area now known as Egypt. It is also nearly impossible for the Egyptians to have lifted and moved the limestone brick used to build these massive structures. Only a more advanced form of life could have constructed such an enormous undertaking, while using advanced mathematics and geography that were not yet known to ancient peoples.
In the beginning of this chapter it discusses how the pyramids were built, what purpose they served, the three pyramids at Giza, some messages found on the stones that were used to build pyramids, and what a mastabas is. Pyramids are tombs built for Egypt's pharaohs. Pyramids are large structures with four sides that are the shape of a triangle, that meet at the top to form a point. The ancient Egyptians used the pyramids as tombs for the pharaohs and temples for their gods. The pyramids have one or two little temples attached to them, which holds their relatives and servants.

Today I’ve discussed three things about The Great Pyramid of Giza. First I started off with stating how significant it is, how long it took to finish constructing the pyramids, and describing its physical appearance.
When one travels to Egypt, what does he/she see - pyramid after temple after tomb, each standing the test of time. One stands out - they are all associated with religious beliefs, they all have stood unmoving for thousands of years, and they all involve mechanical genius- the moving of colossal stones without the use of the wheel. The finest example such mechanics is shown in the construction of the revered pyramid. These three factors, all belonging to the religious architecture of ancient Egypt, do nothing else but prove its greatness.
The construction of the Great Pyramid is still a mystery and marvel to this day, there are seven major feats that archeologists still don’t understand.
The Great pyramids of Egypt are undoubtedly one of the most recognized and admired landmarks in the world. Built to pay tribute to gods and pharaohs, the pyramids were of great importance to the Egyptians, and the mystery of their construction continues to amaze us today. Many theories pertaining to how the pyramids were built have been suggested, however, none are as well supported or intelligible as the heave-ho method of quarrying and cutting limestone. Joseph Davidovits’ theory disproving this, in which states the pyramids were moulded, is not plausible. Substantial physical evidence which is consistent with the Egyptologists’ portrayal of the heave-ho method has been found. The entire process of building a pyramid with this method is possible, as demonstrated by thorough experiments and analysis of the Egyptian culture. Indisputably, the Great Pyramids of Giza were constructed by quarrying limestone, and the use of ramps, sleds, and cutting tools, owing to the ingenuity and strength of highly organized Egyptian workers.

Although the precise age of the pyramids has long been debated, and there is little evidence to prove when the pyramids were built, some assume that they were built from about 2700 to 2500 BC. Another issue that has been long debated is who exactly built the pyramids. Some researchers find it hard to believe that the pyramids could have been built in one pharaoh’s lifetime. Herodotus is the earliest known historian of the Egyptian Pyramid Age. By his accounts, and estimated guess, more than 100,000 people worked on the pyramid; other researchers believe that it was more like 20,000 people who worked on the pyramid. Now they have to try and figure out where these 20,000 people lived. They would like to know where they lived because the researchers think that it will help them find out more about these people, where they are from, and their daily lives. Inscriptions were found on the outside of the pyramids that give an idea of what people worked on them, but the inscriptions were in no absolute detail. Skeletons that were found on the inside of the pyramid are believed to be the skeletons of workers who labored on the pyramids all year long.
