How Technology Impacts Our Society Technology has reshaped our world in many ways. It has improved our economic and social life in many ways. Imagine what the world would be like with no technology? Would we have advanced in life at all? Technology has improved our population growth by a massive amount because we have been able to share information about diseases and how to cure them through social networking at a very fast pace? For example, according to the article “Technology and Society,” “Modern medicine has given humanity the ability to cure many diseases, extend human life, and in some cases improve the quality of that life” (para.2). Technology now promotes socialization through online and more people are able to improve relationships
People can use the internet to research sicknesses or diseases and figure what causes them and by knowing this stuff we are more aware of how diseases happen and therefore we try to prevent it.We now have an opportunity to look up how to cure a cold or flu and you will find the types of medicines needed, even home remedies that may help if you don 't have the money for medicine. According to the article “ Are social networking sites good for our society” “ Social media can help improve life satisfaction, stroke recovery, memory retention, and overall well-being by providing users with a large social group” (para.7). If we didn 't even have the technology we have now, it would take much longer for a scientist to even conduct studies on how diseases occur or how to even stop viruses. In February of 2014, a Viral Ebola outbreak spread throughout countries and over 28,000 were reported to have Ebola. Lots of people were dying everyday because there was no cure and there wasn 't much that could be done to prevent it. Due to the technology, research, and labs, it has allowed scientist to find a microorganism called VSV-EBOV that tricks the body of a vaccinated person and triggers an immune defense against the ebola virus protecting the person if they come in any contact of an infected person.
