Our ancestors are people from the past who came before us, I find it fascinating to examine how the way people think, act and do things today will be different from those we have studied through history. Knowing the past is very necessary for any society and individual. The Past provides us insights into our evolving behavior in matters of life, love, mutuality, war, diplomacy, and peace. If we wish to understand how and why our world is the way it's nowadays, we must always look to history for answers. It's necessary to evaluate history thus one might find out how the people in our past behaved and to consider how it applies to the logical and spiritual growth and enhancement, of an individual.

Human behavior is unpredictable at best, an enhanced understanding can be achieved through the study of history, which can endow significant understanding for our future generations. By learning about the reasons and results of what took place in history, people can learn better ways to understand the past controversies among nations and individuals. if we understand the achievements and disappointments of the past, we may, if possible, be able to learn from our errors and avoid repeating them in the future. To paraphrase Edward Burke “The more we study history, the wiser we become. Doomed are those who can't interpret history well.”. Sato, S. (2014). Studying the history of environmental fluctuations can develop an improved lifestyle for mankind, as well as inhibit the destruction of plants and animals, which could destroy our necessary ecosystems. Studying history permits humans to observe its own image. This I believe is God’s design for us: To learn from our forebears be it father and mother, grandfather and grandmother; children learning from them and then becoming a more virtuous generation through their own personal experiences and opportunities.

It is man's duty teach the history of God, becoming his representatives directing Christians along the path of righteousness.
