A hero too many people is someone who will devote his or her life to save other people’s lives, a hero to me is simply someone who can do it all without doing anything at all, they earn the right and are still there for you each and every day. The hero doesn’t have to wear a cape, they just have to be there when you need them the most. My dad is my number one hero, through everything that went on in my life, he is the one who is standing beside me and giving me the courage to keep going and to never give up. I am incredibly lucky to have such a caring, supportive, goofy and courageous father.
My dad is one of a kind, He is fairly tall, and he has brown hair with specks of grey, with green eyes that hide behind his glasses. He was what I like to make fun of him for and say a ‘pregnant belly.’ You can always find him in his million cameo shorts, T-shirts and reef flip flops. He is full of stories, I’m pretty sure I’ve heard them all a couple hundred times. My dad is the best dad there is, I know people say that a lot, but honestly, I don’t believe there is one better than mine. My mom and my dad got divorced when I was five; It was hard not having my dad around because he lived in Iowa and I lived with my mom in Arkansas. Usually when parents split up the children are the ones suffering, my dad made it as easy as possible because he was there for us whenever we needed him; no matter how far he was away. Even when he lived several hours away from us, he never missed a beat. He would drive those 6 hours frequently just to see us.
