Globalization Has Changed the World in Different Way

Globalization has affected not only America but the whole world in an economic point of view. Thomas L. Friedman is one author that provides proof that globalization has improved economies such as lifestyle, business, shopping malls, and the vehicles we drive. Friedman defines globalization “ as the inexorable integration of markets, transportation systems, and communication systems to a degree never witnessed before in a way that is enabling corporations, countries, and individual to reach around the world farther, faster, deeper, and cheaper than ever before, and in a way that is enabling the world to reach into cooperation, countries, and individuals farther, faster, deeper, and cheaper than ever before”. On the other hand, globalization has impacted us in a negative way causing terrorist attacks; for example, on September 11, 2001 when the planes were hijacked and crashed into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Globalization is a current trend that has recently started in the last 30 years. With the continue of globalization it will continue to lead the world to a better economic future. Such as Globalization has changed the world in different ways; for example, decreasing isolation, allowing trade between countries, providing new information every day around the world, and growth of business like McDonalds and Starbucks.
Globalization was started in the late 1980s after replacing the cold war system; a previous international system, that divided segregated countries that occurred from the Cold War. During the Cold War it had created a “wall” between countries that divided everyone up from trade and news.
