Introduction
Limbo is often described as “a place or state of imprisonment or confinement” (The Merriam-Webster Dictionary). Spiritually, limbo is a region on the border of heaven and hell where the recently deceased are judged and evaluated. In limbo it is determined whether the spirits will enter the through the golden gates of heaven, or the damned road to hell. In the economist’s article titled, Generation Jobless, they describe the current situation of youths: “...there are few worse things that society can do to its young than to leave them in limbo.” The comparison of this after-life prison to the uncertainty of the job market for youths is not out of place. Due to a surplus of competitors, graduates must take jobs they are overqualified for, intern for free, or be stranded with unemployment. For the many souls who are already trapped in the ceaseless rhythm of unemployment, it seems as if there is no salvation. For the future generations of students, Canada may still be able to teach them yet. There is still a chance to equip them with the skills necessary to overcome the adversity of Generation Jobless. The solution to overcoming the ludicrous amount of competition is to stand out from the crowd. If someone can make themselves appear more desirable to an employer they can achieve employment. It is important for students to learn determination, initiative, creativity, and teamwork skills so that they may finally enter the ‘Promised Land’: a career.

The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines a team as: “a number of persons associated together in work or activity,” or “a group of people who work together.” In the current information age more companies are relying on teams to solve challenging tasks and to reach more difficult goals. Since a team of professionals with varying expertise can produce solutions that an individual working alone would likely struggle with, it is no wonder teamwork is becoming increasingly valuable to companies across all industries.

In this report, I will reflect on my professional development throughout this module, from when I started in September, to now. According to Beausaert et al. (2011), ‘the art of self-evaluation is an integral element of reflection and involves critical insight into understanding one 's strengths and limitations’. Therefore, my aim is to identify my learning needs and to recognise my personal skills and capabilities, as well as identifying areas of my skill set that need to be refreshed or extended to stand out in the competitive job market. By doing this, I hope to demonstrate knowledge of the skills that I have gained during this module.
