The concert that I attended was the Wind Ensemble and it was such a great performance to watch. It brought back so many memories of when I used to play a classical instrument. It made me feel like I was on the stage playing the music with them and bringing back that person I used to be. It had a wide variety of different instruments included in the performance that caught my attention. By just watching the performers play the music just spoke to me even, because it made me feel really connected with the musical pieces that they were playing. I was not familiar with the composers and the pieces that were being played the reason for this is that I don’t listen to classical music unless I must, but going to this concert has showed me that the music isn’t too bad. One of the pieces that stood out to me that most was the Vientos y Tangos, because it was very different in many ways they had hand clapping and stomping with I thought was interesting to me when it comes to classical music. “It was commissioned by the Frank L. Battisti 70th Birthday Commission Project and is dedicated to Frank Battisti in recognition of his immense contributions to the advancement of concert wind literature.” In the piece it was very loud and quit like it was building suspense for when something was about to happen. …show more content…

Seeing how classical music has impacted a lot of people was a big shocker and I wouldn’t have thought people would use classical music in those type of ways. Just by watching the composers play the music makes me want to go back to playing classical music, because it can be relaxing in so many ways. The different style periods compared to these style periods have changed drastically over time. Music in general has changed in so many ways because of technology and the different resources people listen to music or to even play
