Alexander the great was great. He conquered many areas for his people and provided for them, and built the areas that he had conquered into well developed cities. One of the big reasons that made him great was that his people and many other people had respected him. One of the first areas that he had conquered he went in a freed Macedonian troops because they had been captured. He had conquered many different areas such as, Persia, and India. In doing so he had killed a lot of people but he had also provided for his people and provided for himself. His people also respected him which was a good thing if you were a ruler, they praised him for his respect, and they helped Alexander expand and conquer different cities.     The statue of a man who resembles the physical appearance of God leaves many to wonder the power and strength of such a person. Who can this god-like person be? What did he do to deserve to be portrayed in such an honorable way in the Greek society in the fourth century B.C? His father, more so, raised his son to become a great leader which is no wonder why when King Phillip II was assassinated and Alexander III of Macedon took the throne.
