Instead of traveling, hanging out with friends and taking a summer break from school, I decided to take online classes at San Jose City College. I am currently a Milpitas High student hoping to graduate and attend a university. Taking summer classes would be beneficial in preparing me for the challenges of rigorous college courses, advancing my critical thinking and writing skills, completing high school credits, and helping me to use my time efficiently. As an upcoming high school senior, attending college would be the next step of my educational progression. They are critical thinking and writing. By taking the summer courses I hope to develop and enhance these deficiencies. These will help me this upcoming fall semester as I will be taking two AP classes along with my second attempt at the SAT. In addition they will help me during my future college courses. Getting ahead also plays a role in my decision to take classes at San Jose City College. I am currently enrolled in two online courses and ultimately, at the end of this summer session, I hope to finish the classes with passing grades to complete both high school and college credits. Additionally, I would be able to free up time in college to pursue different interests and find new passions, which would be beneficial in choosing a career path. My summer days typically consist of doing nothing meaningful. Therefore, taking these college classes is a proper use of my time. Graduating in a timely matter is a common challenge for college students; therefore, being efficient in high school will definitely aid me in my goal of completing college on time. Also, financial issues pose an issue for many students like myself, taking these courses will help save money. As a student who hopes to graduate college within four years, enrolling in college courses now as a high school student will assist me in achieving this
