Spongebob is a loving character who has brightened up our lives for over 18 years, and brought joy to over 40 million people. Many admire this character, so let's give him some thought by going through 7 amazing facts about him.
SpongeBob’s Creator is Not What You Thought he Would be Most creators of television shows have been creators their entire lives, and have been wanting to do it since they were a little kid. But with Spongebob that is not the case. The creator of Spongebob was actually marine biologist, Stephen Hillenburg. Ever since Stephen was a little kid he dreamt the marine life and drawing. Spongebob SquarePants Was Not The Original Name. When Stephen and his team were coming up with a name for there show, they wanted the name Sponge to be in it, because Stephen thought it was a very interesting creature. There first idea was SpongeBoy Ahoy, as the name for the show. Sadly for the team that name was copyrighted by a vacuum company. Mr Krabs is greed because of his love for money. Plankton is envy because of how jealous he is that Krabs has the secret formula and not him. Patrick is sloth because he is lazy sits around and is not the smartest. Sandy is pride because she loves her hometown Texas so much that if anybody says anything about it she will go berserk. SquidWard is wrath because he hate spongebob and Patrick so much. Gary is gluttony because he is always hungry. Every chapter, these three boys, have demonstrated they have great behaviour on the island in comparison to the rest of the group. But it was tiring to constantly have an acceptable attitude because the other boys would not be so pleasant towards them. First, Ralph represented democracy, from the time he crash landed upon the sand, strategies on how to be rescued flowed in his head. He was introduced to the conch and from that point he assigned daily tasks and rules that would be completed so the island would not go insane such as creating shelter, where to dispose waste and if the conch was in your hands, you were able to speak. Next, Piggy represented scientific facts.
There have been many cartoons in the past fifty years. All of which had a wide range of variety and success. Out of all of these shows, there have been few to become as popular as Spongebob Squarepants. Spongebob has won many awards over its ten year long show time. These are only a few reasons why it’s the best cartoon.
Children across the world enjoy the television show Spongebob for its loveable characters and humor. The most prominent of these characters is Spongebob Squarepants, a personified sponge who lives in a pineapple under the sea, in a town called Bikini Bottom. He spends the majority of his time working as a chef at the Krusty Krab, a fast food restaurant run by a greedy crab named Mr. Krabs. Spongebob’s neighbor and co-worker, Squidward Tentacles, has a very cynical view of life, constantly complaining about Spongebob and praising the clarinet and other arts. Across from Spongebob lives his best friend, Patrick Star, a starfish known for little intelligence and extensive sleeping. Most episodes, he and Spongebob act on a new idea which leads to various consequences. Sandy Cheeks, a squirrel from Texas, sometimes joins Spongebob and Patrick in their adventures. While the show is marketed to children, it has many qualities suitable for teenagers and adults including occasional sophisticated humor and philosophical references. Two philosophies referenced in the show are Epicureanism and Existentialism. Epicurean beliefs are shown through Sandy and Mr. Krabs, while Squidward and Patrick showcase Existentialism.
Ralph is the chief or leader of the island and he represents good because he takes care of everyone in the tribe. He represents the civilization and unity on the island with the help of Piggy who also represents good and intelligence because he wears glasses and had a brilliant idea which was to make fire using his glasses. Roger is evil because he threw rocks at the little kids and found joy in killing the pigs just like jack but Roger was more violent than jack ever was . Also there's Simon which

Characters are used in literature as symbols to represent mankind's different “faces”. Everyone in both fictional and real societies have civil orderly sides, as well as an instinctual hunger for power. Both of these traits together make us human, but imbalance of these traits in some people can alter our being. These traits are necessary for our survival, but too much can create toxic environments. In the novel Lord of the Flies, William Golding uses symbols to tell the reader more about human traits and provides a platform that shows the interactions between people with different balances of traits; Golding then shows the possible outcome of the conflict these traits create. Three main characters that stand out and represent the civility and hunger for power of humans are Piggy, Jack, and Ralph. Each can be seen as a symbol for different behaviors and traits that humans show, as well as the different mixes of civil and instinctual. The characters symbolize the different traits, instinctual power and calming civil nature, and how the different balances can affect a persons actions, behaviors, and interactions with others.
The first part is Jack in society as a whole. Here, this blood thirsty savage is a symbol of all that is chaotic and disorderly. The tall, scrawny, “ugly without silliness'; boy is constantly trying to break away from Ralph, who is orderly, and his rules. For example, Jack always breaks the rule of speaking while holding the conch. He interrupts almost everyone, especially Piggy, when they are speaking. The fact that Jack frequently picks on Piggy is a symbol of how brawn and brutality will often overwhelm intellect (Piggy represents the intellectual part of society). Jack even goes as far as to break Piggy’s glasses, another symbol of order and society, which shows how he is going to later destruct and eventually destroy every last part of normal society that remains on the island.
George was one of my favorite characters. He’s really the only one I could relate to. He seems to be the only one that isn’t caught up in the routine thing as much as the other characters. He plays baseball and loves Emily. He is the protagonist. Emily was a round static character too. Simon the town drunk was an antagonist, flat, and dynamic.
Both Akakiy and Gogol are born without a name. The mothers struggle to think of what to name their child. Later, they are both given a name essentially from their fathers. In “The Overcoat,” Akakiy’s mother decides to name Akakiy after his father. When she decides this she says that “[h]is father’s name was Akakiy, so let his son’s be Akakiy too” (The Overcoat, 2). All these boys that landed on the island are mostly main characters throughout the book. Like for example there is Jack, Ralph, Eric, Piggy, Simon, Sam, and lastly Roger which all have different characteristic traits. The most challenge out of all boys is Jack which is different from the rest because as William Golding (the author) stated he characterized Jack as evil, carries savagery within him, and is jealous of others at times. He can also be dramatic at certain times
Piggy represents democracy and Jack represents anarchy. Piggy is cautious and responsible. He believes having a leader and some sort of government is necessary to have a society run smoothly.
Imagine doing a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Getting out two slices of bread, spreading peanut butter on both sides, preferably chunky peanut butter, spreading whichever jelly you are in the mood for over it, placing both slices of bread one over the other, and finally taking a bite, feeling the butter melt in your tongue but you can still feel the small pieces of the peanuts, still salty combined with the sweetness of the jelly, captures in perfectly toasted bread. By the way, I am a little hungry if you have not notice. But going back to the imaginary peanut butter and jelly sandwich, as you may have notice throughout time people actually do call it “Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich” also known as PB&J. We do not call it peanut butter sandwich or jelly sandwich, that would certainly take part of the magic away, it can only be called a PB&J; a perfect combination of salty and sweet. Thankfully these perfect combinations created throughout time, have not stayed strictly among sandwiches. We are able to see them all over the world in other cultures, food, music, religions, languages, art, and in other areas.
Ralph and Piggy’s sense of responsibility and maturity initially brings to the island a voice for everyone, calling for a brotherhood among the boys in order to survive and eventually be rescued. Early on the novel reads “There was a stillness about Ralph's as he sat that marked him out: there was his size and attractive appearance; and most securely, yet most powerful there was the conch.” (Golding Pg. 22). This quote describes the presence Ralph promoted on the island early on in their adventure. He encouraged equal say amongst the boys through the conch. In order to speak, one had to have possession of the symbolic shell. The shell representing the Parliamentary government in which they had left at home. Furthermore, Piggy, gaining an influential voice through Ralph, shouts his concern to the immature reckless boys “The first thing we ought to have made was shelters down there by the beach... Then when you get here you build a bonfire that isn’t no use. Now you been and set the whole island on fire.” (Golding pg. 47). Like Ralph, Piggy’s responsibility and ability to plan for the future contradicts the actions of the boys, which in turn is the main reason for the separation between Jack and Ralph. Ralph and Piggy strive for a civilized way of life, yet find Jack leading an indirect revolt against any attempt to maintain order. Ralph and Piggy represent the good, civilized world in which they
but himself and how he can benefit. Jack simply wants to hunt and have a good time. He makes fun of Piggy, humiliating him, making him feel small and unworthy. "You would, would you? Fatty and Jack smacked Piggy's head" (Golding 78). Jack is a lost boy who begins to discover the evil within him. When he proposes to the group that he should be the new chief, they do not respond in his favor, and Jack runs away, hurt and rejected. He swallows his hurt ego and throws all of his energy into the only thing he seems to know how to do - hunting. He puts on face paint and hides his conscience. This changes him into a savage, evil, The colorful mask allows Jack to forget everything he was taught back in England. "The mask was a thing on its own, behind which Jack hid, liberated from shame and self-consciousness" (Golding 69). As the plot progresses he becomes less and less attached to any societal norms. Near the end of the novel, he feels no shame about the deaths of Simon and Piggy, or his attempt to kill Ralph. & nbsp; Another difference found is that Ralph symbolizes innocence, whereas Jack symbolizes experience and the inner shadow that Golding believes Ralph, Piggy and Simon represent the good side of the boys. Simon is pure, and the only one who realizes what the beast really is. Piggy is the voice of reason and stands for the world the boys once knew- adults, discipline, rules and civilization. As chief, Ralph knows right from wrong. When everyone followed Jack except for Piggy, Samneric and himself, he did not just give up and follow what he knew was wrong, he tried to reason with the rest of the boys and tried to talk some sense into them. At the end of the novel though, he too realizes that man is not a kind creature by nature. "Ralph wept for the end of innocence, the darkness of man' followed, regardless of reason or morals. "
