“This is an island.At least I think it’s an island.That’s a reef out in the sea.Perhaps there aren’t any grownups anywhere” which is where it all starts.I say this where it starts because in the novel “Lord of the Flies” some school boys crash on an island that is alone without adult supervision which can be bad for some circumstances.All these boys that landed on the island are mostly main characters throughout the book.Like for example there is Jack, Ralph, Eric, Piggy, Simon, Sam, and lastly Roger which all have different characteristic traits.The most challenge out of all boys is Jack which is different from the rest because as William Golding (the author) stated he characterized Jack as evil, carries savagery within him, and is jealous of others at times.He can also be dramatic at certain times …show more content…

I thought, by myself—"The madness came into his eyes again."I thought I might kill." (47) which is explaining how he is beginning to get his savage ways.Jack is basically the conflict on the island against Ralph that is trying to benefit the boys.From trying to impeach Ralph he suffered embarrassment and took it as a lesson to learn from.He adapted to this experience which made him who he is.Jack is symbolized as evil in man which is explaining how he loses his ability to remain civilized while stranded on this deserted island.This clicks back to Jack being hard headed.Even when he tried to laugh with the boys or try any certain movement towards them to get closer it didn’t work his way because the boys already see him as it is.Like for example Jack states “He began to dance and his laughter became a bloodthirsty snarling” which ended differently than
