The Bible is one of the most well known books across the world. “The word ‘Bible’ came from the Latin and Greek words meaning “book,” a fitting name, since the Bible is the book for all people, for all time. It’s a book like no other, in a class by itself” (What Is the Bible?). There are many special attributes about the Bible. The Bible contains over 800,000 words in 66 books, written over 1200 years by 40 authors, and It has multi-layered stories about God and Humanity (AXIS). However, not many people understand the deep meaning of the Bible. God created the sun, the earth, human beings, and everything in the universe. He did not create human just because he was bored or wanted us to bring Him glory. He had a plan to create us. He loves us so much, so he created Bible for us to guide us to follow Him. According to 2 Timothy 3:16, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (NIV Bible) The glorious God sent His only Son Jesus to die for our sin, and restore the relationship with Him. It’s like a puzzle, if we leave any parts out, we may end up distorting those parts that would mean something other than intended (Reading the Bible as a Whole). Furthermore, we should read the Bible as carefully as we can. Good readers pay careful attention to words and their meanings.
