Hockey and technology have been my aspirations as a young man growing up and discovering himself at the same time, making choices on career and co-curricular engagements, where my parents have appreciated my commitment on both. When I got the opportunity to come into the United States of America, my parents supported me throughout the entire process, as they believed that I could further my growth and development; most importantly in computer technology in the US. Again, in America, there is unlimited access to professional training in hockey together with the ability to interact with professionals in the sports who guide the upcoming athletes like me. I was born and lived in the US till I was in the first grade, where I then came back during my senior year in high school. For the time in-between, I have had the chance to live in Turkey where my family comes from. The time spent there gave me the opportunity to learn two cultures, which made me bilingual. I count myself fortunate as I have learned not to judge others through their learnings and the way they perceive life. I am open to learning other cultures from different nations, and I am confident to talk or ask any question to my friends on any significant topic from diverse backgrounds and beliefs. As I have traveled to many countries as a hockey player, I have acquired unique experience and knowledge on various cultural practices, which has made me acknowledge diversity.
