Why I Want To Be A Successful Student

There are several reasons as to why I will be successful as a student and as a professional in exercise and movement science and they all stem from my background experiences and goals. First, I have been active my whole life and I have been involved in many sports in my lifetime. Through this, I see sports and exercise not just about competition, but for other reasons such as the physical, mental, and social health benefits. I view activity as an essential part of my life and I want to spread this sense of well-being to others. For instance, I have lead summer weight lifting and helped direct the strength and conditioning program for my old high school wrestling team. Seeing all the different speakers explain their jobs made me realize the breadth of the field of kinesiology. With this understanding, I know that I will bring about an appreciation and a desire similar to the speakers, who each benefit society and truly make a difference in the world. Much of my background thus far in life has revolved around education, which has been tremendous for me because I love learning. I hope to continue learning and now start learning things that I care strongly for. With this admiration for learning, I will become a better student and take in as much knowledge in order to become the most informed and holistic physician I can be, not just for me but for all my future patients. Each day, becoming a better student in school, but also in life is a crucial mechanism for success. My background in the hard sciences and my passion for health and fitness are part of what will pertain to my success in this major. Ultimately, my goals and experiences are what motivate me to be a student of the world and be the best person I can be; one of these goals is to further the field of kinesiology through sports medicine, which I know I will be able to accomplish through this
