I have always dreamed of working in the medical field, and now that I am about to graduate high school and enter into college my goal is becoming more realistic. As of now, I plan to become a radiologic technician. Along with working in the medical field, I have always imagined myself going on mission trips around the world, providing medical attention to those less fortunate. With a career in the medical field, I can use my job not only as a source of income, but also as a way to help those needing medical attention. I have always had a desire to help others and having a career in the medical field is one of the best ways to do so. In order to accomplish these goals, I will need to have training in this area of the medical field. College will teach me not only how to perform this job safely and efficiently, but also how to handle several situations and difficult patients. A college degree is necessary to become a radiologic technician, because one needs the understandings and knowledge over this field in medicine. Throughout high school, I have been involved in numerous extracurricular activities that focus on participating in community service projects. While in these clubs and organizations, I have been able to help hundreds of people all over the world from packing Operation Christmas Child boxes to serving meals at the Ronald McDonald House in Oklahoma City. My involvement in these projects has lead me to falling in love with helping other people out in any way possible.
