Throughout the course of my life, I have always strived to be the best at whatever it is I do. I utilize my inner drive, motivation, and attention to detail to help propel me to success. For as long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted to go into the business industry. Over the years, I realized that sales and marketing were my passion. After I graduate from University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management with a degree in marketing, I hope to go into the sales industry after college. On the same token, some of my most meaningful achievements and experiences have come in officiating hockey. For the past seven years, I have been officiating hockey games across the country, and have learned many valuable skills. Over the course of those seven years, I have succeeded in many aspects of officiating, and have a dream of refereeing in the NHL one day. Not only was I one of the two youngest referees at the tournament, I was also refereeing players that were older than I was. The honor of receiving a national tournament for someone my age is extremely rare. Typically, the referees that are awarded national championship tournaments are between 21-26 years of age. Additionally, I achieved another goal this year when I refereed my first game in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) this year. The NAHL is the second best amateur hockey league in the United States and consists of some of the best 19 and 20 year old hockey players that commit to many Division 1 schools across the nation. Not only am I younger than most of the players I deal with on a nightly basis, I am working with and competing against other referees that are older than me by 4-8
