I wish to study this program because I have a strong interest in nursing. I really like the idea of helping people, and I thought what better way to help people than by directly helping them. I think I will feel a strong sense of accomplishment if I see that the patient is getting better each and every day. I want a career where I will enjoy going to work every day and I think becoming a nurse would fulfil that. My decision to apply to this program was influenced by a series of events. As I am a Ryerson student, I have come across many nursing students. I was inspired by their stories and experiences with the nursing program. Although all of them said studying nursing was very hard, I did not mind because I thought it would be worth it if you enjoy what you are studying. I take my education very seriously, so I always aim and work towards a high academic standard. This means setting high goals for myself and working hard to my full potential. Through this mindset, I have consistently been an honour roll student while keeping up with extra-curricular activities. This school year is no exception. In fact, I am working even harder than before, using getting into the nursing program as my motivation. I have made up my mind and I know I want to do my nursing studies at this program, so I decided to only take courses in the program's nursing curriculum such as SOC 104, Understanding Society and PSY 102, Introduction to Psychology. So far, I am enjoying these classes the most. It is great to have a little taste of what Ryerson's and George Brown's nursing program is all about. So, I cannot wait to have the full experience in the near future. Thank you for taking your time to consider my application.
