Recommended: Causes of the failure of society

What is a great society? The key components to a great society are good economic values, strong government, and to make sure your citizens are happy. However, these societies have the opposite of that. These societies have bad laws and rules, citizens living in poverty, and they go through a ton of wars, but losing every single one. Leaving almost all of their soldiers dead. Minority of the societies getting treated unfairly, citizens rioting, dying, with no food, water, or even shelter for them. The reason why great societies fall is because of wars, poverty of citizens, and the bad rules and laws of these societies. The first reason why great societies fall is because of the wars that they fought. In When the U.S. went to Iraq, they had weapons of mass destruction that we had to get, or else the whole world could have been gone, or be in a WWIII. They fought back each killing thousands of soldiers. When we found the weapons of mass destruction, we then killed their leader Saddam Hussein. In the article, it states that “ The U.N. special representative in Iraq [Sergio Vieira de Mello] and at least 16 others died Tuesday in a bomb explosion that ripped through the organization’s headquarters in Baghdad.” ( http://thinkprogress.org/report/iraq-timeline/# by: ThinkProgress) This was one big reason why we went back to Iraq. We had to stop a problem. A problem that can be very dangerous and tough to get out of. ancient Greece, Sparta was very good and well trained at war, Which helped them conquer some areas. After long journeys took toll on their soldiers, which took caution to the city of Sparta. One army surrounded the whole valley, trapping Sparta and tearing it to the ground. Great societies when key areas are not strong, such as the laws that the leader made were unfair, citizens living on the streets with little food, water, and shelter, and the wars that they went through. The bad laws of these governments were, treating the minority unfairly. Making their laws a lesser of the majority. Also treating lower social ranked people with not as many right or unfair rights( getting taxed higher). The wars destroyed areas. After losing a war, you have to pay the taxes that the war has caused. Also your area of land is destroyed. Poverty of citizens make your economy look poor. Putting people out on the streets, and not doing anything about. These are the main key points of why great societies fall.
