Workplaces should not allow people to bring their dogs to work because the dogs will distract you in every way possible. Dogs will bark at eachother in chaos, pee everywhere to claim territory, and expect to be taken out. However it is fair to say that bringing your dog to work may relax you in many ways, it may also be the reason you stay loyal to your work. I do not think any company in their right mind should be in favor of bringing Dogs to work just to secure a long term relationship with an employee. When a person goes to work it is for work and nothing else, when a person goes home after work it is their opportunity to be extra caring and loving towards a pet or child, but when you mix the two and let's say bring your dog to work, not only are you constantly telling he or she to stay but the dog …show more content…

You make think your dog gets along with everything it comes in contact with until it eats your co-workers open lunch bag. Dogs require attention, dogs themselves usually demand attention but what happens when your boss asks you to pay attention to your work in the middle of providing your dog with attention, which would you choose? Without a job nobody can take care of themselves let alone a dog. I get it though, people need their dogs around to keep them relax mentally however I just believe you're giving the dog anxiety.
Personally I dont understand how anybody can be so selfish to the extent of bringing a dog to work. Dogs have things to do while you're out working, it may seem like they've been waiting for you all day but that's a myth or maybe your own insecurities. Why would you want to take that feeling away from yourself? That feeling of coming home after a hard stressful day at work and not knowing what to do until you open that door and see your dog wagging it's tail, happier than a clown.
