Jesus thought Christians to forgive people who sinned against us until they learn their lesson and listen to the good word. It also teaches us to lead and stay on the good path, the path of the God/Lord and start a new connection with God. Jesus is also trying to teach people not to sin and forgive them and also give people second chance to learn a lesson from their mistakes, always forgive those who sin against you no matter how harshly and always looks for the good in a person no matter what their circumstances.

Sin is the like the Law that created by God. For example, the law says ‘Do not Lie’ and you lied that means you have sinned. Sin divides your relationship with God.

Forgiveness is about forgiving people who committed against others and being forgiven by God/others. Forgive means if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father/Lord will also forgive you and your sins, but if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

The law of the bible says “you shall not commit adultery.” Adultery is a sexual relationship between a married person and someone other than his or her lawful spouse. It has been considered a crime punishable even by death because it’s a sin against the husband. In the law of the bible, in that time they (the scribes and the Pharisees) strictly believe that committing adultery is a sin and you will be punished if you break any of the laws of the bible.
