All around the country, there are students who drop out of college every day. There are many different reasons to why the students drop out. One of the top reasons, according to College Atlas, is that students are unable to balance school, jobs, and family. Statistics show that there is a 56% chance of college students who start at a four-year college and will drop out by the sixth year of their college career (College Atlas). Students who start college after turning 20, along with full time students, are proven to less likely drop out than those who are under the age of 20 and are part time students (College Atlas). There are so many Americans who will study at a four-year college, but only 2/3 will graduate with a degree (College Atlas). 30% of freshman will drop out after their first year of college (College Atlas). A female with a college degree will earn $630,000 more in gross median lifetime earnings than a female high school graduate.
