“Catch Me If You Can” is one of the best crime movies ever written, with Stephen Spielberg behind it what could go wrong? Frank Abagnale Jr. became famous worldwide for his daring impersonations of pilots, doctors, and lawyers. It is the story of young Frank William Abagnale Jr., 17 year old boy in the 1960’s, he is very good at impersonating people. This movie is a true nail biter with the close calls and near misses by Carl Hanratty. Carl is the FBI agent that takes it personally upon himself to capture Frank. Leonardo DiCaprio(Frank) and Tom Hanks(Carl) put on an outstanding performance. The movie was great but what really brought it together was the score. The music foreshadowed that something important was going to happen, the suspense and anticipation got me hooked. I did not want to stop watching because it was so entertaining, it is all the more great because it is a true story.

Right down to the score, it was something that made you feel apart of the story. Usually you don’t feel apart of the movie, but when Frank went somewhere it felt like I was there too. Speaking of being realistic, not only was the score great it felt like we were in the 1960’s, not watching a screen. Cars, planes, even the people actually felt like they were from the 1960’s.What still amazes me is that it is a true story, not a realistic plot. The fact is that a criminal mastermind would have trouble pulling this off, but he was a 17 year old kid with a clean record. Not only was the beginning great though, the ending was a clever way to trick the reader. The whole story was a flashback, and it would go to the present for a few minutes at a time. And the whole time we thought that one ending was going to happen, but it was a totally different ending, a better
