I absolutely loved the movie Batman Begins, and I was hoping the sequel, The Dark Knight, would be just as good. However, I did not let my hopes get too high because sequels are usually not as good as the first movie. On top of that, a new actress had been chosen to play Rachel Doss and Heath Ledger would be the Joker. I loved Heath Ledger in a Knights Tale, but I could not see him in a role as crazy as the Joker. Little did I know, this movie was going to have me jaw dropped and begging for more. The Dark Knight is the second movie of Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy. This spectacular film covers the breathtaking journey of Batman and Harvey Dent in the hunt to put away twisted mastermind the Joker. As Batman is trying to symbolically pass down the torch to Harvey Dent as the protector of the city, the Joker attempts to prove that anyone can be as bad as he is. This was a great movie that highlighted the idea that just because you are considered bad, does not mean you cannot do good, and just because you are considered good, does not mean you cannot do bad. Besides the fact that the Joker caused harm to anyone he pleased, his ultimate goal was to push people like Harvey Dent and Batman over the edge. In the Dark Knight, Harvey Dent is seen as the hero sent from above, who is incorruptible, and the face of justice. Yet, as the movie progresses, we see the main characters get morally tested. I was captivated to see how each character reacted to the escalating situation of crisis set up by the Joker. During this process, I was riveted by the Joker's cunningness, the Batman's unselfishness and undying resolve, and the human weakness of Harvey Dent that is present in all of us.
