What does it truly mean to be an educated person? When asked this, I do not envision a person with just a college diploma. I envision future life changers, members of society that will do good and help the world as a whole. Future leaders, scientist and doctors are among these members, because they can change lives for the better. To be an educated person it does not just mean they went to college and received a diploma, it means they are handed the torch that will light the path for our society and its future. Educated people are the workers paving the path out of the darkness of ignorance and into the light of knowledge and prosperity for our society. An educated person's meaning is not just to be educated in a field of some sorts, but to lead and change the lives of those around them that are connected in that field. For example, if a scientist had the capability to reach the knowledge to cure cancer. If the educated persons meaning was just to be educated and the person possessed no actual strive or dedication to help the world, then this scientist would be useless, but because the educated person stands for something much more than just knowledge, this scientist leads, works, and commits his life until his knowledge unlocks the key to the cure for cancer, which would forever change our society for the good. The educated person should not stand for a high knowledge of something, but they should stand as a symbol of hope and leadership. They should be role models of hard work and success that lead others into becoming educated. Educated people should not attempt to keep the class of educated small, but should work towards a world where the term educated people is used frequently and given as a title to all of society so together as a educated society we work towards a greater civilization, one of such greatness the universe has never seen
