I am a sophomore business administration student with a concentration in marketing. I am not 100% certain with my major choice because I am too interested in everything, so I think getting a degree in business is a safe bet for me. I was first introduced to psychology my junior year of high school when a very enthusiastic freshman tried to guess my Myers-Briggs type. I have always been interested in things like astrology and online quizzes that tells me what I am like based on my answers. Online quizzes like: “What Your Aura Color Says About You,” “What Hogwarts House Do You Belong In” (I haven’t even watched Hogwarts before, but I still took the quiz), and “We Can Guess Your Deepest Secret Based on The Seashell That You Choose.” Some of those quizzes were seemingly accurate and others were way …show more content…

It is hard for me to agree with the Myers-Briggs type quiz because I am choosing my answers from what I think that I am like. I have taken the quiz at least 3 times and I have gotten many different type results. I take those quizzes out of boredom and/or to better understand myself. Some of my friends can read me like a book, so I ask them to psychoanalyze me sometimes just to see what they think. I think that learning psychology would make me realize things around me that I have not noticed was happening all along.

Sometimes I joke and say that I don’t know how to human, so learning more about social psychology would be helpful to learn more about myself and others. I want to learn how psychology affects person to person and how it affects society.
