Volunteering is commonly one of the last things on a high school student’s mind, however this should no longer be the case. Volunteering has a positive effect on both the individual and the surrounding area, and should be required by high schools in order to improve the student and community. High school students volunteering in their community is beneficial to all who are involved. Teenagers who are involved often meet new people and build relationships throughout their town. Therefore, volunteering should be required high school due to the impact that it has on the community and student involved. Volunteering is an important aspect of community because it completes an otherwise ignored job and helps struggling individual. Volunteering also helps the students by improving their college resumes and building character. Even though students may not think their services are required, there is always someone in the community who needs help. Community tend to thrive and become more positive with the involvement of teenagers. Therefore, making a difference in a district can start with only a few people.
