Two major kinds of flow barriers are the deliberate blocks and the subtler structural blocks. Deliberate blocks are barriers are usually created by government and organizations to control the amount of people or objects coming in. For example, the French borders have been toughened to prevent refugees from entering the country. Following its steps, Spain has taken legal issues to keep Romanians out while Greece built a fence to keep Turkish away. Apart from borders, people and objects must pass gates, guards, passport controls, custom agents, etc. The biggest exception are the countries within the European Union who have done the opposite: facilitate travel among those countries. As globalization keeps growing, more and more barriers will arise. Government blocks affects everyone. Those who travel into a certain country are restricted in a variety of ways, from things they bring to how long they stay. Immigration is a big part of globalization as immigrants bring their culture, language, and ideology with them. Travel, both tourists and vagabonds, affect the economy of the country of visit, as well as every single companies they spend money on whether it’s a local café or airline. Barriers on gender, race, and ethnicity affect globalization in the way that they only get part of the benefits globalization brings, if any. For example, an American company having factories in China; while this gives the Chinese people jobs, they get paid very little while the big companies make millions off their cheap
