I am a strong believer in Christ and I believe that children are not too young to learn about God and his word. My church takes part in a program that many churches across the United States take part in. During this program we teach children ages (3-16) about God, through different activities, games, lessons, songs etc. Vacation Bible School (VBS) is two weeks of fun and excitement, but our main goal is that the kids go home knowing more about God at end of the two weeks, then they did in the beginning of the two weeks.

My relationship with God has grown over the past year, I got baptized on March 25,016. I've learned to trust God and seek him in hard times and know that he will help me through whatever circumstance that I’m going through. I’ve allowed him to take control of my life and direct me in the path that he has set for me. I have many people in my life who have been there for me and still supporting me on my walk with Christ. Many of the kids that I taught at VBS are kids that I also am an assistant teacher for every second Sunday of each month in my church’s nursery. For the two years that I’ve been in this program for, I taught kids ranging from ages 3-5. Working with this age group is challenging at times but, it requires a high level of patience. But the experience was a great one and one that I will never forget. I get to work with kids which is something I love to do and get to teach them about God. Everyday a memory verse needed to be learned by each class, so for my kids I had to make the verses very short and simple that the kids would be able to say and memorize and we came up with hand gestures to help them memorize the verses.
