Recommended: How technology has impacted society

Using social media is essential as we are in the technological advancement age. We are benefiting from using social media platforms such as having access to various information instantly, being able to stay in touch with our friends and families, regardless of the distance, and having a reliable relationship between consumers and companies. These advantages and benefits connect us even more when we are on social media. Therefore, I support using social media as it provides us with beneficial services. When people are active on social media platforms, they have come closer to each other. Even when they are far away from home, they do not need to worry about keeping in touch with their friends and family from their country. Not only those platforms enable us to stay connected with our loved ones, but also give us a chance to meet new people, make new friends, and turn strangers into travel mates or romantic partners. For example, individuals meet new people every day on Facebook who possess a similar perspective of a particular subject. Moreover, we also do not need to linger for the breaking news to issue on the TVs or newspapers. For instance, Twitter delivers easier access for its users to know about a specific incident. Let's say a well-known person pass away, we will know about this incident in less than an hour. Recent versions of Facebook include safety checks and crisis alerts based on its users' locations; it is reassuring. Facebook alerts its users if an earthquake or a storm is coming nearby and after those accidents had happened, the app would survey the individuals if they are safe or not.
