You can’t change the past. It’s only when a person moves on that they discover they can achieve happiness. How true is this statement in regards to The Story of Tom Brennan?
Moving on and being able to find happiness is very relevant in regards to The Story of Tom Brennan by J.C Burke. You can't live in the past, you have to move on, whether you find happiness is up to you. Also the more time you spend thinking about the bad things there is less room for the good thoughts. Of you can find something to look forward to or something you enjoy doing, just something to take your mind off the past will help you move on.
Your only option is to move on. No one has a time machine to take you back in time to correct your actions. Time has to keep going and so do you. In The Story of Tom Brennan, The Brennans were forced to move from their home town of Mumbilli to Coghill, to live with their Grandmother, Carmel.
