The sinking of the Titanic was a very tragic event for a lot of families. Have you ever wondered how many people died after the sinking? “Carpathia rescued 705 survivors. There were 2,200 passengers and crew” ( Sinking of the Titanic). Have you ever wondered what it was like to be on a sinking ship? The sinking of the Titanic killed a very large number of people, but it also changed the way boats are made.
The Titanic should have been built a little more stable. For instance the steering, the steering was very hard to do. The captain could not get the Titanic to turn very quickly. So if the Titanic was built with better engineered steering then maybe the Titanic would have not have hit the iceberg. People thought they were safe until they were hit with the Titanic. Their families were devastated. “ The Titanic was a deep-sea grave to most people” ( Wels 206). “ On boards there was a giant swimming pool, gym, turkish bathing area, photography dark room, and three cigar rooms” ( Titanic Facts B). The Titanic was certainly unbelievable. If it were still around today the Titanic would be 103 years old. If it was still giving people cruises. It would be brining in a lot of money.
