The RMS Titanic sunk more than 100 years ago. It was 102 years to be exact. Even after all of this time, we still want to know more. We want to know why it happened or was there any way to avoid the sad ending and many more questions surrounding the RMS Titanic. However, we know one thing for sure: the sinking of the RMS Titanic was the biggest and most tragic event of the 20th century.
What happened to the Titanic? Was everything that happened true? How many people died on the ship? How did the titanic sink? What was the titanic made out of? How long did it take? The Titanic is one of the most significant events in American history because it was uniquely built, it carried very many important people, and it sank in the Atlantic Ocean.
The Titanic began to turn, but it was too close and too heavy to avoid a collision. The ship's side scraped along the iceberg. At least five of its supposedly watertight com...
I believe that the Titanic was a very tragic event. The Titanic was known as the “unsinkable” although it did sink. The Titanic was very luxurious, 1,503 people died during this, and the survivors lived on to be legends and to continue to tell stories about the Titanic.
... were transferred to the Titanic due to a coal strike would have never known of the deemed fate that was to come. Was this merely an accident of the night, was it poor craftsmanship and engineering to the making of the ship as it could not stand up to an iceberg, nor taking on the water that poured in after scrapping a large portion of the ship, not having enough lifeboats to accommodate all of the passengers. Could it have been a deliberate attempt by the owner to collect insurance money as one could imagine the cost incurred of the making of such a ship. It is my belief that this was a combination of an accident, craftsmanship, and poor planning. The Titanic could have all the luxury in the world and could have been touted as the “The Unsinkable Titanic” but it appears that the Titanic was not as the lives that were lost were much more than the ship Titanic.
The sinking of the “Titanic” was obviously the fault of man. Walter Lord gives many reasons throughout the book, A Night to Remember, to show that the sinking was the fault of man. Many things could have been don’t to avoid the horrific sinking of the “Titanic.” I only chose three reasons; these reasons are: The construction of the ship itself, the watchmen’s carelessness, and the crew’s unpreparedness.
Drowning, screaming, Weeping, Send offs...These are some of the last words you heard from Jack Jill, Tyrone T. lll, Bob Blob and from others. The date was April 14-15 1912. The zone around North Atlantic Ocean. This was traumatic time/date. The Titanic had sunk and lots of people died 1,503 to be exact. But these people were rude, raw and blunt. And also the rude rich ones ended up dying. But not all of them died. It is kind of funny because the rude rich people were the ones that died. AKA people like Jack Jill and Bob Blob. The Titanic was on her maiden voyage, a return trip from Britain to America. The route was Southampton, England – Cherbourg, France – Queenstown, Ireland – New York, USA. The return route was going to be New York – Plymouth,
