An important decision opportunity has risen in our country on gun control, should we or should we not be able to defend ourselves from harm with the use of a gun. They believe the second amendment doesn’t give citizens the right to bear arms, but only allows for the state to keep a militia. They believe it’s the job of the government to protect its citizens and that additional laws are necessary to control gun violence. Looking at these gun control advocates and the way they are planning to enforce gun control, some may even ask, why we are even contemplating using these banal means. A few of these are; that of limiting the size of gun magazines and prohibiting the use of assault rifles, enforcing trigger locks, and limited sales at gun shows. Ok, so we can see that even the Brady Bill has its limits, and how will these Bills stop murders and criminals by regulating background checks, keeping mentally incapacitated people away from owning guns, and longer waiting periods before gun purchases. Plus, remember many of our citizens already owned guns prior to this bill passing and what will stop others from purchasing them illegally on our streets, remember were dealing with criminals and the mentally ill after all. This is just an example of how these banal means will most likely never work in our gun toting
