The Peacemakers came about because all powerful Europe was in the ruins after the Great War. The time of the Great War was a devastating time to the people. It lasted only four years, but in those four years millions died all over the world: soldiers, civilians, etc. They lived to experience the deaths of millions. They hoped that times like these would never occur again. Therefore, The Peacemakers had to make an impact to the world and make sure that this never happens again. The Peacemakers were called The Big Four: Britain, France, Italy, and United States. Their crucial conferences were held in Paris where they debated and argued. As a result Paris was known to be the capital of the world. When the Peacemakers first established they had a trial conference to improve and to organize themselves and to do this they had to study the Congress of Vienna because it was the only source they had at the time. Thereafter they decided to have a full conference to negotiate with the enemies. They finally became the real thing. The other was Paris. The people battled their own fights and made their own decisions. Paris had to do something, but their armies and navies were slow and ponderous near the interior of Asia Minor. Their armed forces decreased as well as their power. In order to have power the will to spend money or lives needs to involved. The leaders of France, Britain, Italy no longer had the capacity to order people to pay high prices for power. Only the United States did. The United States had the capacity to act, but did not interfere. The United States had once an fortuity to bend Europe to its will, but it did not take it because at that time they were not as great of a country as they were after the second war so Europe would just disobey their
