The PDSA cycle is a tool used to improve performance. It is made up of a series of steps that is designed to increase a person’s ability. Step one is to plan. Within the planning stage you must define the system, access the current situation and analyze causes. The second step is to do. Within this step, you will the test on a small scale. The study would be a combination of the response I receive from them as well as my personal response and the feeling I receive. Due to the fact that the feeling I received was good, I will add that to the act. Lastly, I will continue to ask the next 10 patient’s parents the same question and get personal contact information if they say yes. It has always been my belief that medical physicians should always be able to adapt to any situation. One key to adaptation is understanding what does and does not work. As a pediatrician I will test many theories to see of children react differently to different stimuli. While I will use treatment, it is my belief that my work will be innovative in nature. To be innovative there must be small scale test conducted with such conditions that results from a larger scale experiment can be expected. I will also use this to deal with other coworker’s struggle or strife that may be happening. I will try out programs within our office and see if it increases employee morale. For instance, I will plan to bring breakfast food everyday for my employees and gage employee morale based on the responses I receive to a suggestion
