These days texting is the most common means of communication; in a form that uses abbreviations to quicker the process. This is not famous way of communication between the teenagers only, text messages have gained there value in business too. It allows person to reply according to their connivence and does not make them to have to call. Too make the process of texting fast, people use language of abbreviation; “textspeak”. People argue on positive and negative affects on student’s writing skills due to such use of abbreviation. Reality is that, there is no influence on student writing due to texting. Some teachers support the argument of texting having a negative influence on the student’s writings. She is engaged in texting for homework, dinners and “monthly receives and send 6,400 texts”, as per her cell phone bill. She hardly notices herself use any abbreviation, however sometimes due to long messages she wants to use them to make process quicker. As she does not use the textspeak language, she is does not have any problem with formal writing, and neither doubt about her spelling abilities. There is no effect of texting on writing abilities as per Cullington’s research, teachers and the students. Both sides of the arguments, some teacher’s observation of the negative impact of texting and the other side where there are teachers, expert and students supporting their hypothesis for texting not having negative impact. Instead they support the positive effects of texting on writing skills of student, they explain how it keep they constantly engaged in writing even no matter how they write in texts. At last, actual evidence is always valued
