Many people around the world are encountering many hardships, and these issues go unnoticed. Extreme poverty is a devastating situation that many suffer from, all around the world. The Democratic of the Congo has the highest rates of extreme poverty, affecting these people’s quality of life. Suffering from extreme poverty does not allow the Congolese people to grow and prosper along with the rest of the world, as their basic needs are not met. These people’s human dignity is also being belittled, not allowing them to live to their fullest. This issue is also preventable, therefore, with the right action taken, extreme poverty can be abolished. The issue of extreme poverty in the Democratic Republic of the Congo should be aided as those affected are deprived of human dignity, basic needs, and the issue is preventable. The Catholic Church teaches to respect all human life, as God created all people in His image, and wants the best for His children. Therefore, people should seek goodness for all people, allowing them to truly thrive. Extreme poverty is caused by humans being cruel to other humans, thus, it should not be accepted as the norm for countries affected. All people should get involved in this issue, and make a change for the better of this world. One way to help is by donating to organizations who are using that money to help those in dire need. People can also create fundraisers aimed to raise money for these organizations, as well as getting more people involved in the issue.
